Chapter Signal Institute; the Epilogue.

Aloha folks! And so I've graduated from Signal Institute as a full-fledged signal operator. With the Signal insignia on my collar now, it just means more responsibility to be assumed.

I am also proud that I've graduated from 02/10 Signal Operator (Infocomm 1) Course with the honorary title of Best Detachment. :) It's because my team did relatively well during an overnight summary exercise that was conducted during the 8-weeks course. Was quite surprised when they announced the results!
So the previous chapter has concluded rather beautifully. A brand new chapter of my NS life is about to begin. Will be reporting to Jurong Camp (which is on the other side of Singapore) tomorrow. From hearsay, life at 3 Signal Battalion is going to be hell-like. Hearing a myraid of nightmarish stories about the new unit, it's inevitable I worry about what's going to be in store for me for the next 1.5 years.
O well, what I can say is that whatever that comes in my way, I have to tackle it. That's army life for you. You may get slapped verbally by your superiors yet all you can do is suck thumb. I remember writing about the culture of suck thumb months ago so I guess the idea's there. I just hate why is it an unspoken mandate that we have to reduce ourselves to such submissive state and give in to whatever that's before us.
I'll try to blog as frequently as possible using my HTC Snap (provided I've got stuff to write about) so just keep a lookout at this space. Honestly, blogging is the only way to keep me sane from sorting out these thoughts about NS. And also to prevent my writing ability from deteriorating any further.
Haha till the next post.
